The Dillon rum company owes its name to Count Arthur Dillon's Royal regiment, whose quarters were based near to Fort-de-France in 1779 before joining the American War of Independence."
"For many years, superb copper columns have distilled the best cane sugars of Martinique. Part of this production is received into cellars where it slowly matures in small oak casks. From this lengthy marrying of wood and rum, sun and shade, is born Dillon's glorious "Old Rum"."
"With its subtle, warm bouquet, typically fragrant and velvety, it is absolutely incomparable when tasted in a balloon glass. Some prefer it in an "Old Punch" with a dash of cane syrup and hint of cinnamon."
