Sidecar

Base Spirit : Brandy
Dating back to the first World War. The origins of this potent cocktail are most likely to be in Paris. The Ritz Hotel in Paris makes claim, albeit with no details as to it creation. More likely is credit lays with an American Army Captain who named the drink after the "motorcycle sidecar in which the good captain was driven to and from the little bistro where the drink was born and christened".
