To quote their own fact sheet\, “Mezan vintage rums are unblended rums from individual islands or countries in the West Indies and South or Central America\, produced from a single vintage year’s distillation\, aged in oak Barrique and bottled one cask at a time\, when mature\, under the supervision of our cellar master.”

This fantastic event gives you the chance to learn about this award winning spirit and the first ever blended white rum which is new to the UK\, Harvey Nichols and OXO. \nOXO have teamed up with Banks 5i ambassador and owner of New York’s highly regarded ‘PDT’ cocktail bar\, Jim Meehan and Banks 5i master blender Arnaud de Trabuc to present a special evening of education and entertainment. \nGuests will be given a delicious Banks 5i Negroni on arrival\, before enjoying a tutored tasting and demonstration of selected OXO and PDT signature cocktails made with Banks 5i rum\, as well as a sampling of other Banks rum expressions and some tasty OXO bar bites. \nBanks 5 Island is named after the celebrated 18th century explorer Joseph Banks and is the first of its kind. Made from 21 rums\, by six distilleries\, a across five islands (Jamaica\, Trinidad\, Guyana\, Barbados and Java) you won’t find another rum like it. Its smooth and full bodied flavour makes it the perfect choice for cocktails. \nThe presentation will take place at the OXO Tower Bar from 5:30 to 7:30pm on Tuesday 20th March and is priced at £30 a head.
