{"id":349,"date":"2011-04-29T23:29:48","date_gmt":"2011-04-29T22:29:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.charlosa.com\/blog\/?p=349"},"modified":"2011-05-01T00:36:09","modified_gmt":"2011-04-30T23:36:09","slug":"jamaican-mango-frozen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rum.charlosa.com\/blog\/rum\/jamaican-mango-frozen","title":{"rendered":"Jamaican Mango (Frozen)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.charlosa.com\/drinks\/recipe.php?recipe=JamaicanMangoFrozen\" target=\"_ext\">Jamaican Mango (Frozen)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Having recently tried a half decent Mango Daiquiri and on the day in question picked up a bottle of Mango Puree, a little bit of experimentation led to my Frozen Jamaican Mango.<\/p>\n<p>While most of the Mango cocktail recipes I&#8217;ve seen use light rum, I decided to add a bit more weight to the rum flavours by using a Dark Jamaican Rum. The Pineapple rum flavour is more subtle, but blends well with the mango flavour. Of course the addition of the 150+ Proof Rum float will give this tropical frozen drink a bit of a kick. However, if you are unable to source 150+ Proof Rum, then the Overproof Rum of your choice will suffice as a substitute.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>    1 1\/2 Measures of Dark Jamaican Rum<br \/>\n    1 1\/2 Measures of Pineapple flavoured Rum<br \/>\n    3 Measure of Mango Juice<br \/>\n    1\/2 Measure of Mango Puree<br \/>\n    1\/2 Measure of 150+ Proof Rum<br \/>\n    Ice<br \/>\n    Pineapple Wedge to garnish <\/p>\n<p>Equipment<\/p>\n<p>    Blender<br \/>\n    Hurricane Glass (Large Cocktail Goblet)<br \/>\n    Tall Drinking Straw <\/p>\n<p>Quarter fill the Blender with Ice and pour in the Dark Jamaican Rum, Pineapple flavoured Rum, Mango Juice and Mango Puree.<\/p>\n<p>Blend the ingredients for approx 30 &#8211; 45 seconds. Once ready, pour the blended mix into the Hurricane Glass and pour the 150+ Proof Rum on top of the drink as a float.
