Brazilian Pumpkin

Base Spirit : Cachaca
Created by Tim Cooper, the veteran mixologist for Cabana Cachaça and the hip New York SoHo hangout Gold Bar.
Ingredients
  • 2 Measures of Cabana Cachaça
  • 2 Measures of Eggnog
  • 2/3 Measure of Navan (Vanilla Cognac)
  • 2/3 Measure of Spiced Cordial
  • Heaped tsp of Pumpkin Puree
  • Ice
  • Grated Cinnamon to Garnish
Equipment
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Strainer
  • Cocktail Glass (Chilled)
  • Short Drinking Straw
Prepare the Cocktail Glass by filling the glass with Ice and topping up with tap water.
Half fill the Mixing Glass with Ice and then add the Cabana Cachaça, Eggnog, Navan, Spiced Cordial and the Pumpkin Puree. Shake well until a layer of ice forms on the outside of the shaker. Empty the iced water from the Chilled Cocktail Glass before straining the cocktail mix into the cocktail glass.
Garnish by sprinkling Grated Cinnamon over the top of the drink. To finish the look before serving, take the Short Drinking Straw and wet one side of it with tap water, before carefully placing it against the side of the glass. The water should make the straw stick to the glass.
If you are unable to lay your hands on Navan, try Absolut Vanilla Vodka instead.
