Cut the Lime into quarters and add to the Soda Glass along with the mint leaves, fruit and approximately 2 1/2 heaped Bar Spoons worth of Sugar. Use the Muddler to crush and mix the sugar, fruit and mint with the lime pieces.
Add the Crushed Ice, ensuring it is heaped over the top of the glass. Now add the Rum to the glass. Use the bar spoon to stir the ingredients together and top up with either Soda Water or Sprite (depending on how much of sweet tooth you have).
If the ice appears below the top of the glass, add some more crushed ice before serving. Add the Drinking Straw, a small sprig of fresh mint along with a wedge of lime for decoration and serve.
This variation on the Cuban classic makes for a refreshingly fruity long summer drink. Many fruits can be selected from including, but not limited to: Strawberries; Blueberries; Orange; Pineapple and Pomegranate.
